Record Day for Adoption

Thirty former racing greyhounds were adopted out an Adoption Day held at Sandown Park in just two hours recently.

This is a single day record for Victoria.

Greyhounds are one of the most placid and adaptable canine breeds, suited to living with families, the elderly and in inner-city apartments.

Victoria’s Greyhound Adoption Program will host its next Adoption Day at The Meadows on Sunday 1 May, giving people the chance to adopt a greyhound or to simply find out more about greyhounds as pets. Register at gap.grv.org.au
