Bide Time in Healesville Puppy Championship

Bide Time proved too good in the $5,000 Puppy Championship Final on Sunday up the straight at Healesville, clocking a best of the day time for the second week in a row (16.46sec).

Jumping from box five in his 28th career start (11 wins and 12 minor placings), Bide Time was slow to begin, but it didn’t take the son of Elite State and Lektra Snap, long to muster enough speed to take the lead, in what was a convincing win over the 300 metre distance.

The Puppy Championship Final isn’t the first feature event Bide Time has won; in May, Bide Time took out the Cannonball Sprint at Geelong over the 400 metre distance (Replay).

This Sunday Healesville host the heats of the Winter Cup, run over the 350 metre distance – with the final boasting a $6,260 first prize.
