Scene set for Christmas Cup decider

This weekend’s upcoming Life Members Christmas Cup Final (350m) has assembled a strong field awaiting the starter after three heats of the $5,000-to-the-winner were staged with Agent Laylan and Superior Bont running identical heat winning times at Healesville on Sunday Afternoon.
Agent Laylan was impressive in further adding to his record over the track and distance, for Tarneit trainer Jason Hardy, beginning well at the start left virtually untouched through the event powering to the line scoring by 2 3/4 lengths over Dirty Max with High Tale away in third.
The son of Dyna Double One notched up 12th career win with 4 minor placing’s from 24 race starts for owner Olivia Alcock.
Devon Meadows trainer David Condon should his hand in the third qualifier of the Christmas Cup with Superior Bont showing great mid-race speed to overhaul Banjo’s Affair in a brave performance winning by a neck with Speckie McKean a further 4 1/4 lengths finishing for the minor placing’s.
Seaspray trainer John Boreland has a great chance of getting his hands on the Christmas Cup trophy with Super Big proving to strong against Simply Smarter in what produced a thrilling finish with the winner coming away to score by a length running 19.28 seconds for the sprint journey.
