Old timer Big Ticket won his heat of the 2016 Healesville Cup on Sunday paying $14.70 for the win, he now finds himself jumping from box one in yet another finals campaign.
Born in December 2012, Big Ticket has a year’s more experience over his rivals in the Healesville Cup. Partaking in 52 starts for 24 wins and 16 minor placings for trainer Pat Sofra who trains from his Cranbourne residence.
“He is just a chasing machine!” Pat Sofra explained after Big Ticket’s Healesville Cup win.
“He has been trialling well so I thought before the race that if we got the clear run he would go well.”
Big Ticket has competed in six races at group level, he fell two and a half lengths short of his first group win in the 2016 Warragul Cup, finishing second to To The Galo’s (Replay)
