My Arizona Room (Pictured. Photo credits Jason McKeon, Austscapes Photography) broke the feature race hoodoo for young trainer Ashlee Terry on Sunday at the Healesville Greyhound Racing Club.
After starting favourite for a number of feature events up the straight, Terry went into the $5,000 300 metre final as $1.80 favourite thanks to a gallant heat win last week.
“My Arizona Room received a pretty big bump last week but chased well to win her heat,”
Heading into the race Terry was hopeful her home bred chaser by El Grand Senor and Father Of Mine, would utilise the inside box in her second feature up the straight.
In November 2016, My Arizona Room won the GRV Vic Bred Series Final worth more then $5,000.
“She has come back from a season and I think she is coming back even quicker.”

My Arizona Girl’s Healesville Puppy Championship win was her third consecutive victory in her 14 start career.
Her eight wins and five minor placings have seen her bank more than $16,000 in prize money.
Terry has always been in big fan of the Healesville straight track, refering to it as her and her dogs second homes.
“I love Healesville because I find it a safe track to trial and race at, it also helps builds fitness without flatterning them.”
