Queensland’s National Straight Track Final was run and won at Capalaba on Sunday with the state’s team of three finalised for the inaugural championships.

Dusty’s Charlie will be officially representing Queensland in the historic first-ever National Straight Track Championship (350m), to be held at Healesville on Sunday, August 18.

As promised, Peter Galo delivered on Sunday at Healesville in the National Straight Track Championship heats recording the fastest heat time of 19.19sec (350m).

Garry Selkrig is optimistic Healesville specialist Peter Galo can put a wretched injury run behind him in Sunday afternoon’s Victorian heats of the inaugural National Straight Track Championship.

Cranbourne, Healesville and Sandown will be holding Code of Practice Information Sessions and Workshops on Saturday July 27 at 10.30am at Trio’s Sports Club, Cranbourne and on Monday July 29 at 5pm in the Cranbourne Grandstand.

Australia’s first ever National Straight Track Championship for greyhounds will take place over late July and early August in Victoria, Queensland and South Australia, with the Healesville Greyhound Association hosting the Grand Final on 18 August 2019.

The inaugural SEN National Straight Track Championships is set to put straight track greyhound racing exposure on a national scale.
