Landmark (pictured – photo credits Jason McKeown) was the surprise victor in the 2016 Straight Track Championship Final at Healesville for trainer Robert Britton.
In a field packed with talent Landmark paid a staggering $13.50 for the win in the $10,000 feature over the 350 metre distance on Sunday.
“He is a very quick dog but his biggest problem around the circle tracks is being poor out of the boxes. He was defiantly suited out wide on Sunday, especially because the others dogs went towards the inside of the track,” Robert Britton explained.
