“Agent Laylan has been a dog I’ve given a lot of time to; he wasn’t doing a lot in the early stages of his pre-training though bringing Agent Laylan to Healesville was a great decision, it suits his training routine and he absolutely loves straight racing.” Hardy detailed.

Jason has praised owner/breeder Olivia Alcock for placing Agent Laylan in his training care.
“Olivia and Craig (Alcock) asked if I would be interested in taking this dog on and I can’t thank them enough, the dog has certainly given them plenty of excitement,” said Hardy.

The Tarneit-based trainer says he will look to target the Group 3 Healesville Cup next year and National Straight Track Championship which in 2020 will see the group listed grand finale be staged for the first time at Capalaba in Queensland.

“If we can find a race on a straight track, we will most likely target them,” Hardy told.
“Today was my first feature win and having the right dog is crucial, he has mixed with the best in straight track racing and hopefully now he can take that somewhere interstate.”

According to records Jason did confirm that his most accomplished chaser Eumeralla Donny (Talk’s Cheap – Chikate) was his highest rated greyhound in training having won 10 races from 78 appearances with $21,770 in prizemoney.
